Tobias Hartmann is a software engineer in the HotSpot JVM Compiler Team at Oracle since 2014. Tobias holds a master’s degree in Computer Science from ETH Zurich, Switzerland. Besides contributing numerous enhancements and bug fixes to the JVM, Tobias designed and implemented the Segmented Code Cache and worked as a compiler expert on the Compact Strings project. Currently, Tobias is working on getting the JIT compilers ready for future Value Type support in Java.
